Out of the Blue (2022) Movie Review: Like mentioned above, "Out of the Blue" is an homage to the genre of film noir and its derivatives. Especially the works based on James M. Cain novels. To be even more specific, "The Postman Always Rings Twice". The novel is namedropped quite a number of times by our leads.
